Advice for 1st Year Students

Congratulations for entering Kobe University!!!!I will give you some advise to enjoy campus life.


 First, you should have as much communities as possible by belonging clubs or circles. In this University, there are a lot of people who come from different region and have different  idea, so you will be able to communicate with those people and share ideas, and you may find something new.


 Second, you must not be off your guard about studying. Some weeks later, you will get used to the mood of this university and classes. You sometimes may sleep or use smartphone during classes, but this is very serious mistake for you. I think you should do what you have to do at least before you relax.


I want you to have good time in our university!! Thank you for reading.

Accomplishments

This is 2014. Last year, my daily life was very busy and fantastic. I had a lot of things to do so I sometimes felt very tired, but I learned so many important things. I accomplished two things.

First I began my part time job. Before I entered this university, I wanted to work for calm school.
I was adopted and work now. This work is hard but I can feel satisfaction when the students understand what I teach and get good score. So I want to continue this job.

Second I got a drivers licence in last September. I went to the driving school for about 3 months.
After the university class and club activity, I went to, so it is very hard for me and I felt very tired when the driving practice finished. But I managed to get the drivers licence.

 To be honest, I do not have  concretely what I want to accomplish this year. But I want to maintain my health. Last year, I was often tired and was in bad shape. I try to get a lot of nutrition and do some exercise and have enough time to sleep. So this year, I want to pay attention to my health and have good time every day!

What qualities or characteristics make a good leader?

     In order to go a good project or something, a leader is needed absolutely. So a lot of elements are needed for such a leader, otherwise can not lead the members or many people.
So I tell what qualities or characteristics make a good leader.

    First I think that leaders have to have confidence for themselves. If leaders do not have confidence, they will not be reliable, so the members will not respect. For result their project will be failure.

    Second leaders should have ability to control the members` feelings. When members feel disappointed, a leader make them inspire and cheer up. Also when their work is good, a leader must admire their achievement and make the members make more efforts than ever.


    In conclusion, a leader must be a person who is suitable to be respected and reliable. I do not have such characteristics yet so I want to develop the leadership for my future.


   

How would your life be different without the Internet?

       Now, we are in the situation which we can use Internet. It is very useful and helps us live more comfortable lives, you know. But I think what will I do, if the Internet don`t exist. So I write what should we do, if we cannot use the Internet.

 First we must not be too dependent on SNS : Twitter, Facebook and etc. It is true that SNS are useful and often interesting and exiting, but what we spend very very long time doing SNS is bad for us I think.

 Second we should have some choices to spend free time without the Internet, for example hobbies or studying. I don`t say the Internet is bad. What I want to say is the Internet must not be like your duty, should be a hobby.

  In conclusion, spend too much time using Internet will be do harm for you. I think everything need moderation.

How is important English for your job or future?

    You know, today, English is international language in the world. So Japanese government make us English. I think this action is greatly true and should be kept in the future because we will need English for our job or future.

    First we may need speaking English skill. Now, some corporations set English to their official language in their office, for example Rakuten or UNIQLO. These corporations is not for the Japanese but people all over the world, so they have to communication with many foreigners who cannot speak Japanese. Of course all the foreigner was born in the country where English was spoken, but such people learned it very hard and have high  skill. So they can communication with native speaker. In the future, we may find work in such corporation. If then we decide to improve English skill, we cannot take many time to study. We have to study it hard now.

   Second we may need the skill in the trip. If we cannot speak English at all, we may have troubles in the foreign country. It is the true that gesture can convey some meanings, but it cannot all meanings. So I think we have to be able to speak English somewhat. It is good to bring  the book of conversation too.

   In conclusion, I think we will have much oppotunities than we expected. So we need to study English very hard when we are students.

 

My hometown is Koriyama. In the city,there is Koriyama Castle, which was built by Hidenaga Hashiba who was Hideyoshi Hashiba's brother. In Augast, the festival named Oshiro Mathuri is held around the castle. In the festibal, there are a lot of shops on the road and many people visit from children to elderly people. It has held 53 times ever. And in April too, there is a festival. This year, I passed the entrance examination, so I went to the this festibal with my friend of my highschool days.
 Also, near the castle, there is the building named Koiyamajo hall. A lot of lecture meetings and concerts are held in this hall. Before some days, local basketball team Bambitious Nara came to the hall. Bambitious Nara was founded this year and is Nara's first basketball team so many people expect this team to be more famous and win the game against other local teams. And this hall includes library, so on the day events are not held, many people visit. When I was junior high school student, I sometimes used. When I was a elementary school student, our school's concert was held in this hall, so it is good place for me.
 My home town has many histrical places so it is very tasteful. I don't like but love this town !!
